The 2026 Presidents Cup gets underway this week at Medinah, with Scottie Scheffler aiming to lead Team USA to an 11th consecutive victory in the biennial competition against the International team.
Team USA have won the last ten editions since the cup was shared in 2003, with their opponents only victorious outright once, in 1998, since the tournament was first held in 1994.
Scheffler's Team Play Record Under Scrutiny
Scheffler has been part of the team's last three successes, but his record in team play remains a talking point, as it does when the Ryder Cup comes around. However, the world number one and US captain Brandt Snedeker both say they are not concerned in their previews of the competition.
DeChambeau's LIV Future in Question
Bryson DeChambeau has not played in the Presidents Cup since 2019 due to being ineligible for selection in the PGA Tour-run event as a LIV Golf player.
The two-time US Open champion may have subtly signalled his exit from the league this week after filming at a course in Philadelphia without wearing Crushers-branded clothing, which he is contracted to sport during all public appearances.
