However, 12 months on, a deal looks finally set to be completed amid reports that a fee worth an initial £75 million, rising to a possible £85 million with add-ons, has been agreed with Manchester City.
Registration Deadline for Brentford Opener
The new Premier League season starts on Friday night, which means there is a deadline to get Savinho registered as a Spurs player before their opening game at Brentford. If a fee has been agreed with Man City, as reports suggested late on Thursday night, Savinho will undergo a medical and finalise his move on Friday.
If Spurs want Savinho in the squad to face Brentford on Saturday evening, the Brazilian must be registered by 12pm on Friday. It is the cut-off point for new players to be registered ahead of the weekend.
Alternative Debut Options
