Arsenal are on the verge of announcing the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle after the midfielder passed a medical, while Vinicius Junior is poised to make a decision on a new contract offer from Real Madrid.
Guimaraes deal close
The £75million transfer saga between the Premier League rivals has finally reached its conclusion, with Guimaraes completing his medical on Wednesday. An official announcement from Arsenal is expected soon following talks between the player and manager Mikel Arteta.
Christian Norgaard has joined Everton from Arsenal, with the midfielder departing after just one season at the Emirates Stadium. Norgaard said: "It feels amazing. I'm so, so happy and pleased to have joined Everton."
Vinicius Jr decision imminent
Real Madrid are awaiting an imminent response from Vinicius Junior to their improved contract offer, with Arsenal ready to accelerate their interest. The Brazilian's current deal expires next summer, and talks had stalled as he sought a salary of around €30million a year.
Following a meeting between the player's representatives and Real Madrid, the club have raised their proposal, which is said to reflect his importance to the club's sporting project.
Other deals
Chelsea are close to signing Pep Chavarria and are considering a fresh offer for Alex Scott, while Diogo Costa will not join. Manchester United continue their pursuit of Lewis Hall, and Liverpool are pushing for Bradley Barcola and PSG teammate Ibrahim Mbaye.
Tottenham are targeting Cody Gakpo and Savinho, with a potential move for Raphinha also linked. Yan Diomande is joining Real Madrid, and Manchester City want to reunite Pedro Neto with Enzo Maresca.
Crystal Palace have submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy for Chelsea's Axel Disasi, while Newcastle have appointed Matthias Jaissle as head coach, replacing Eddie Howe. Lincoln City have signed Tottenham youngster Mason Melia on a season-long loan.
