Swansea City have received a significant transfer boost as midfielder Ousseynou Fall Seck is keen on joining the club, according to sources speaking to WalesOnline.
The 19-year-old has emerged as a target for the Swans this summer as head coach Vitor Matos looks to strengthen his midfield options. A fee of around £2m has been agreed with Danish club Randers, and personal terms are also in place.
Highly rated teenager attracting interest
Fall Seck, who has been tipped as a future Premier League star, has attracted serious interest from three English clubs, including a top-flight side. Eintracht Frankfurt are also keen on the teenager, who moved to Europe from Senegalese club AJEL Rufisque last summer. There is also believed to be interest from Portugal.
However, Swansea is viewed as the best fit for his development. The club's record of nurturing young players and the chance to work with Matos is believed to have helped convince the player.
Deal not yet complete
Sources have stressed the deal is not done, and interest from elsewhere remains a concern. But as things stand, the Swans appear firmly in the lead.
Obtaining a visa is not expected to be a problem for Fall Seck, who has three international caps for Senegal, although he was not included in their recent World Cup squad.
Almeida pursuit fades
The news will be a welcome boost for Swansea, whose efforts to sign Andre Almeida appear to be diminishing. Reports in Spain suggest the Valencia midfielder is reluctant to join, with late interest from Celta Vigo complicating matters further.
