Marcus Rashford is reportedly only focused on completing a permanent move to Barcelona, despite interest from Bayern Munich. The Manchester United forward spent the 2025/26 season on loan at the La Liga champions, who have a £26 million purchase option in the deal.
Barcelona have until June 15 to activate the buy option, but Spanish reports suggest the club are hesitant to pay the agreed sum and may seek to renegotiate. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are said to be willing to match United's valuation, but are less keen on covering Rashford's high wages.
According to Spanish publication Marca, the 28-year-old is not interested in joining Vincent Kompany's team and is not answering calls from other clubs. The report adds that Bayern have made no concrete approach at this stage.
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has spoken positively about Rashford, but declined to comment on his long-term future. After Rashford scored against Real Madrid in El Clasico on May 10, Flick said: 'I'm very happy with Marcus. He has shown his quality and he scored an important goal. I can't say anything about his future.'
Rashford scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions for Barcelona, playing a key role in their La Liga and Spanish Supercopa triumphs. After clinching the league title, he said: 'I come here to win. This team is a wonderful team. They're going to win so much in the future as well. So, to be a part of that would be special.'
It remains unclear whether Rashford will play for Barcelona again, but it is understood that Manchester United have no intention of reintegrating him into their first-team squad.
