Match background

It has been just three months since Hibs travelled to Ibrox and took all three points against Rangers. On that evening, James Tavernier threatened not to turn up for his farewell, but Dane Scarlett had the last laugh with a late winner after Thelo Aasgaard cancelled out Martin Boyle's opener. That defeat was Rangers' fourth post-split loss in a row as their title bid collapsed under Danny Rohl.

Since then, there has been plenty of change at Rangers, with Derek McInnes now in charge. However, it has not been the best start for the new boss: a draw against Dundee United in their Premiership opener and a defeat in Poland in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier on Thursday.

Hibernian, under David Gray, will be looking to pile on the misery against his old Edinburgh derby rival. Hibs are also aiming to bounce back from a disappointing start to the league season after going down to Motherwell.

How to follow

Daily Record will run a live blog with all the pre-match build-up, team news, and every kick of the ball once the clash gets underway. After the game, there will be reaction from managers and players, player ratings, and talking points.
