Rangers' path to the Europa League playoff round remains uncertain after potential opponents Larne were held to a goalless draw by Saburtalo of Georgia in the first leg in Northern Ireland on Tuesday night.
The Ibrox side travel to Poland to face Jagiellonia Bialystok, knowing a win would take them a significant step towards the playoff round, where they would meet either Larne or Saburtalo.
Larne's European dream hits hurdle
Larne boss Gary Haveron admitted it was "impossible" to ignore the possibility of a showdown with Rangers, but stressed the importance of focusing on the task at hand. He said: "Obviously word gets out and there’s talk among everyone very quickly – but the bottom line is there is no Rangers if we don’t focus and do our jobs completely."
Larne, who have won three Irish Premiership titles in the past four seasons, now face a tough away trip to Georgia to secure the win they need to progress.
Scottish talent in Larne ranks
The Northern Irish side boast Scottish talent, including former Airdrie goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson and striker Kevin O'Hara, who recently left Hamilton Accies. Both featured in the first leg at Inver Park.
