Russell Martin has come under fire from Rangers fans after just two league games, with the team already four points behind Celtic. Supporters have expressed frustration over the manager's tactics, player selections, and the club's lack of progress under his leadership.
Fan Peter Cooperwhite said: "We haven't progressed under Russell Martin. He's not an upgrade to Warburton or Beale. Players can't grasp his style of play, nor can the fans." Another supporter, Scott Gowers, criticised the failure to address the left-back position and described Martin's style as "boring play".
Gordon Hendry questioned Martin's decision to bring on Kieran Dowell, saying: "Perhaps it's because he hasn't seen the number of dire performances we've had to watch from Dowell." He also noted that young players like Aarons seem unable to handle the pressure of playing for Rangers.
Despite the criticism, Martin remains defiant. He has insisted he will not change his line-up policy, even after team news leaks have reportedly occurred. The manager is under pressure to deliver results, with fans warning that time is running out for him to turn things around.
