Ousseynou Fall Seck appears set to leave Danish side Randers, with head coach Rasmus Bertelsen confirming a move is close amid a reported bid from Swansea City.
Reported fee and match absence
Reports over the weekend claimed the Swans had agreed a fee of around €2m for the 19-year-old. Seck was then left out of Randers' 0-1 defeat to FC Nordsjælland on Sunday, and Bertelsen said afterwards that a departure looks likely.
"I think a move is close," he said.
Bertelsen admits frustration
"It annoys me, because I think he was well on his way," Bertelsen said. "But we have to remember that we are talking about a young boy who is in the process of his first stay in Europe."
"He has been here for less than a year, and of course there is something in terms of tactics and getting used to it that comes into play. But sometimes a club also comes along with a plan and an amount that means we have to sell before a player has had his breakthrough."
Seck's route to Denmark and Swansea
Seck joined Randers from Senegalese club AJEL de Rufisque last summer. He has played 15 games for the club and scored one goal. The teenager has also won three caps for Senegal, although he was not involved in the World Cup earlier this summer.
If the move is completed, Seck would become Swansea's fifth new arrival of the summer, following Stephen Welsh, Moussa Yeo, Joseph Okoku and Elijah Just.
