PSG stand firm on Barcola fee as Arsenal, Liverpool circle

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly standing firm on their valuation for Bradley Barcola, amid reports Arsenal hold an interest in the Liverpool transfer target.

PSG open to offers but demand high fee

Having initially ruled out the sale of Barcola this summer, PSG are now open to offers for the 23-year-old and have even held preliminary talks with Liverpool. However, Sky Sports have stated that there is a significant gap in valuation between the two clubs.

This update comes amid reports of an agreement in principle between Liverpool and PSG for a fee is believed to be in the region of €128million (£109m). Although, with PSG valuing Barcola at £145m, in addition to standing firm on their stance over the fee, it is making a deal difficult to complete at this stage.

Arsenal hold interest after missing out on Vinicius Junior

Arsenal, meanwhile, are said to hold an interest in the Frenchman after missing out on the signing of Vinicius Junior as he chose to commit his future to Real Madrid by signing a new contract. The Gunners, though, will be well aware that just like Liverpool, any deal for Barcola ultimately depends on PSG's willingness to reduce the price tag.

Barcola's impressive form

Capable of operating on both flanks and as a striker, Barcola scored 13 goals in 49 appearances for PSG last season, weighing in with seven assists in all competitions. He then impressed for France at the World Cup, putting talk surrounding his future to one side as he scored three times in North America, including one against England in the 'bronze final'.

Barcola featured against Arsenal and Liverpool in the Champions League last season, coming off the bench in the final as PSG beat the Gunners on penalties and returning from injury at Anfield to help seal a quarter-final second leg win.
