Nikita Parris Joins London City Lionesses After Brighton Departure

England forward Nikita Parris is set to join London City Lionesses following the expiration of her contract with Brighton & Hove Albion, according to sources. The 31-year-old will undergo a medical with the Michele Kang-owned club on Tuesday, ahead of their debut season in the Women's Super League.

Parris joined Brighton from Manchester United on deadline day last summer, scoring seven goals in 22 appearances. Her departure was confirmed by Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic, who praised her professionalism and influence on younger players.

London City have already announced six new signings, including Danielle van de Donk from Lyon, Sanni Franssi and Elene Lete from Real Sociedad, Isa Kardinaal from Ajax, Teyah Goldie from Arsenal, and Poppy Pattinson from Brighton.

Parris, a European champion with England in 2022, was omitted from Sarina Wiegman's Euro 2025 squad. She described the news as 'very disappointing' but expressed no regrets, stating she gave her all.

With 17 goals in 74 England caps, Parris has previously played for Arsenal, Lyon, Manchester City, and Everton, winning league titles in France and England, three FA Cups, a Coupe de France, and the Champions League with Lyon.
