Newcastle United are reportedly considering three players as potential replacements for Bruno Guimaraes, following the agreement of a £75million deal with Arsenal for the Brazilian captain. The move comes days after Eddie Howe left the club, with Matthias Jaissle appointed as the new head coach.
Potential targets identified
According to the Daily Mail, Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller has emerged as a target, along with Borussia Dortmund's Felix Nmecha and Real Sociedad's Luka Sucic. Stiller, a Germany international, had a £31million release clause in his contract, but it expired last month, meaning Newcastle would need to negotiate with Stuttgart for the 25-year-old.
Nmecha, also a Germany international, is currently playing Champions League football with Dortmund, which could make it difficult for Newcastle to convince him to leave Signal Iduna Park. The club has already seen Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon leave this summer, adding to the need for midfield reinforcements.
