Germany boss Jurgen Klopp said: "They are a rock-solid opponent with a new coach. The good thing is that we both have the exact same situation. We met on Monday and play on Thursday. And the coach knows the players from television. I actually know more of the Dutch players personally than Xavi does. Whether that's an advantage, I don't know, but it's still a fact."
Netherlands manager Xavi Hernandez said: "We have to play our best football because Germany are a great team. I can feel this rivalry. Everyone in our team is really looking forward to the game, and it is a great way for us to start this journey. He [Klopp] has been one of the best coaches in the world in recent years.
