The documentary traces Jones's journey from a semi-professional player at Wealdstone, combined with building site work, to his signing by Wimbledon manager Dave Bassett in 1986. Jones recalls how sceptics dismissed him as a 'hod carrier', but he quickly proved his worth, notably scoring a winning goal against Manchester United. The film revels in his reputation as a hard man, part of Wimbledon's notorious 'Crazy Gang', though it avoids probing questions about his aggressive playing style or its impact on his career.
