Enzo Maresca admitted Chelsea were second best 'in all aspects' after a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Leeds, which dealt a significant blow to their Premier League title hopes. The Blues have dropped to fourth place, nine points behind leaders Arsenal.
Maresca attributed the performance to squad rotation following a hectic week, with Wesley Fofana and Reece James missing out. 'When you change players the level drops because they are important players for us,' he said, adding that the team must 'reset' ahead of Saturday's trip to Bournemouth.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke praised his side's deserved victory, which moved them out of the relegation zone. 'We were the better side. It's a great night for everyone,' he said, dismissing speculation about his job security.
