Manchester United are shifting their transfer focus away from midfield, with funds being redirected to bolster the defence and potentially the attack. The club has already added Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to Michael Carrick's squad, but a further midfielder to fully replace Casemiro may not be signed now.
Defensive and attacking priorities
With Joshua Zirkzee set to depart, United could bring in another forward to support Benjamin Sesko as they compete on multiple fronts. Additional defensive signings are also possible, though a move for Newcastle's Lewis Hall appears unlikely after the Magpies sold Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali, and Bruno Guimaraes.
Premier League stars Morgan Gibbs-White and Antonee Robinson have been linked with moves to Old Trafford as the club looks to strengthen in other areas.
