Manchester United could see four more players leave before the transfer window closes, with a mix of loan and permanent exits being discussed.
Zirkzee's Potential Exit
Joshua Zirkzee would be the most high-profile exit, two years after making the move from Bologna. The Dutchman has struggled to score with any kind of regularity and previously saw a premature substitution cheered by the Old Trafford crowd, which was a low point of his time in Manchester.
Despite scoring on debut he's been unable to nail down a regular spot under Michael Carrick and the influx of new talent into the final third has left him with a squad role. Juventus remain in talks over bringing him back to Serie A. United are unlikely to get back the £37.5million they spent on him.
Youngsters Available
Meanwhile a cluster of the squad's younger players are free to leave with United open to loan moves or permanent switches, provided their valuations are met. Toby Collyer, formerly of Brighton, is one of those despite him being highly rated.
He was at West Brom and Hull last season but sees his route into the first-team blocked off and a move away from Old Trafford would be in the 22-year-old's best interests.
Teenage left-back Harry Amass, who has had his opportunities in pre-season, is in a similar boat to Collyer. The Red Devils have slapped a £6m price tag on him following his loan spell at Norwich last term. If he does leave temporarily then the Athletic reports that United would consider handing him a new deal, with his current one expiring in 2027.
Ethan Wheatley is another youngster who would be allowed to leave Old Trafford. He had two loan spells away last season, at Northampton and then Bradford City, but could make a huge leap with Everton now among those keen.
Summer Activity
United's summer so far has centred around arrivals, notably to their midfield. That was identified as the priority area and Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos have both been signed with the duo accustomed to playing in the Premier League.
Casemiro and Jadon Sancho are two big name exits, but they both left upon the expiry of their contracts. Rasmus Hojlund has joined Napoli in a permanent deal after impressing on loan. He was signed only three years ago for an initial £64m.
