Manchester United play Paris Saint-Germain this afternoon in their fourth pre-season friendly of the summer. United lost their opening game against Wrexham but took a step forward by beating Rosenborg 5-0, followed by a 2-1 victory against Atletico Madrid.
Team news and squad updates
Michael Carrick's side have gone through the gears in training as the weeks have progressed, and the Reds have just three friendlies remaining before the new season begins. Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Youri Tielemans and Noussair Mazraoui have been included in the travelling squad for the game in Sweden, but Senne Lammens and Matheus Cunha have been left behind as they recover from unrelated minor illnesses.
Benjamin Sesko is absent again, but the striker is on track to be fit for the start of the season.
How our writers think United should line up
Tyrone Marshall: United are missing their first and second choice goalkeepers so I'd play Heaton for the full 90 again here. With Dalot back it makes sense to move Yoro to the middle alongside Maguire as I'd start them against Hull. Shaw is at left-back.
Tielemans will get 45 minutes in midfield and I'd start him alongside Santos, with Fernandes in front of them. Mount can come on at the break and continue to develop his partnership with the £50m Brazilian. A partnership of Mount and Tielemans would be excellent on the ball, but you wonder if something would be missing defensively.
Mbeumo scored twice as a striker last week and can continue there, with Amad and Dorgu on the wings. Fernandes is only likely to get 45 minutes so Lacey can have another crack as the No. 10 after the break.
Steven Railston: Carrick has been boosted by the inclusion of some big names in the squad this weekend. Dalot is not the most exciting name to have been included, but I'd start him alongside Yoro, Maguire and Shaw in the back four, which would be my defence for the opening game of the season.
Mount and Santos deserve to continue in the deeper midfield roles, while starting Fernandes is a no-brainer. Some fans will want to see Tielemans play from the start, but I'd bring him on for the second half. Lacey on the right, Mbeumo down the middle and Amad down the left would be my attack.
