Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has cast doubt over the fitness of two unnamed players ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with West Ham at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Wednesday, Amorim confirmed the duo are doubts but refused to reveal their identities, stating: 'I will not tell you today because we will change the way we are going to approach [the game].' The manager's comments have sparked speculation among fans, with many on social media suggesting captain Bruno Fernandes may be one of the players after he was seen clutching his hamstring during the weekend draw with Crystal Palace.
Amorim did address Fernandes' condition after that match, telling TNT Sports: 'It was a kick. I was shouting at him, we made a substitution in the end. He needed to talk to the bench but he said it was just a kick so everything is okay.' Meanwhile, Matheus Cunha has returned to training after a two-game absence due to a knock, but Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire remain unavailable for selection.
The team news will be confirmed at 6.45pm GMT on Thursday, when the line-up is announced ahead of the 8pm kick-off.
