Manchester United's search for a new midfielder is leaning towards a profile similar to Aurelien Tchouameni or a Premier League-proven alternative, rather than Manu Kone. The club have already added two midfielders this summer and are pushing for a third, but progress on a deal for the Roma player has been slow.
Recruitment differences
Recruitment director Christopher Vivell is among those who have put Kone forward as a potential option. However, director of football Jason Wilcox has highlighted other targets, contributing to the lack of movement on any agreement.

In attack, Brazilian forward Kaua Elias has emerged as a name of interest. United scouts watched the Shakhtar Donetsk striker after his hat-trick against Kudrivka on Monday. He is valued at around £30million.
