Noni Madueke came off the bench to score a late winner as Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground on Sunday.
Gunners Reclaim Second Place
The Gunners had been leapfrogged into second place by Brighton earlier in the day, but Madueke's strike saw Mikel Arteta's side reclaim the position and close the gap at the top of the Premier League on Manchester City.
The former Chelsea winger popped up with the decisive goal late in the game, with his effort taking a deflection off Jair Cunha on its way into the net.
Frustrating Afternoon on Trentside
Arsenal had been frustrated throughout by a disciplined Forest side, while the hosts also threatened themselves in a cagey affair on Trentside.
Arteta will not be concerned by the performance, though, as the champions continue their winning run ahead of their Champions League clash against Bayern Munich next week.
