Tomori as the Ideal Solution
AC Milan's Fikayo Tomori has been suggested as a potential signing. The 28-year-old has Premier League and Champions League experience, as well as the pace to suit Andoni Iraola's high line. Tomori's contract expires next year, making him a possible cut-price acquisition.
Tomori began his career at Chelsea, had loan spells, and then moved permanently to Milan in 2021. He has won the Serie A title and the Supercoppa Italiana. His experience could be invaluable alongside Van Dijk, who played every minute of the 25/26 league campaign and is now 35 years old.

With the transfer window closing on September 1, Liverpool have less than a month to bolster their squad. While Jacquet and Leoni are seen as the future, adding a seasoned professional like Tomori could be exactly what the team needs to avoid starting the season at a disadvantage.
