Liverpool are preparing to change their stance and improve their bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, according to the BBC. The Reds have so far refused to increase their £100 million offer, with PSG holding out for a fee around £145 million.
Barcola Deal Expected to Get Done
Despite the gap, French outlet L'Equipe claims the two clubs are "very far apart" but expect the deal to be completed, possibly after PSG add another winger and striker to their squad. Liverpool are expected to make Barcola the third player they have paid over £100 million for, following Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz.
Thin Squad and Other Targets
Manager Andoni Iraola is desperately seeking reinforcements as the Premier League season approaches, with the squad looking thin after the departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate. The Reds are also weighing up a move for Barcola's teammate Ibrahim Mbaye. Additionally, several exits are possible, including Cody Gakpo to Tottenham, with talks reportedly beginning.
