Liam Gallagher has responded in his own inimitable way to reports that his beloved Manchester City have been found guilty of almost all the financial charges they faced.
The Oasis frontman took to X to voice his feelings after news began to break this afternoon that the club had been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges they faced of breaking Premier League financial rules.
City's position
City were charged back in February 2023 for allegations of breaching the league's financial rules.
A City spokesperson said: "The Premier League process remains ongoing, with significant elements to be completed, and subject to strict confidentiality. As such Manchester City FC’s position remains consistent with the club’s statement of February 2023."
"The club has diligently respected due process for eight years on the basis the Premier League board and executive would behave as an independent, impartial and fair-minded regulator, free from partisan influence."
Appeal expected
MEN Sport understands that City will be appealing the ruling. It is understood this appeal process will not take place for months.
When it is eventually heard, it is likely to be a senior judge who wades through the findings. Fair to say that we are still a long way off a final verdict.
Gallagher's response
Responding to a post from journalist Ben Jacobs, Liam said on X: "Get your OASIS tickets bought and stop talking out your f****** ar** you S****BUBBLE."
In another post on X replying to Jacobs, he added: "CTID."
It comes as millions of fans are trying to get hold of tickets for Oasis' second comeback tour, following last year's reunion, which will include 11 shows at City's Etihad Stadium next year.
Codes are being sent out to lucky fans to purchase tickets for gigs in Glasgow, Manchester, Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Boston, Las Vegas, Ireland and Knebworth.
