The squads for this weekend's clash between North London Legends and Manchester United Legends are taking shape, with more names expected to be confirmed ahead of kick-off.
The fixture, billed as 'Champions Impact in Jakarta: The Rivalry Returns 2026', revives the classic Arsenal-Man United rivalry from the late 1990s and early 2000s, when the two teams regularly competed for the Premier League trophy.
Stars confirmed for both sides
Arsenal 'Invincibles' including Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira, Ashley Cole, Pascal Cygan, Nwankwo Kanu and Gilberto Silva will feature for the North London Legends. They will be joined by more recent Arsenal players such as Petr Cech, Bacary Sagna, Emmanuel Eboue, William Gallas, Santi Cazorla, Jermaine Pennant and Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Manchester United Legends have recruited Edwin Van Der Sar, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Carlos Tevez and Dimitar Berbatov, among others.
Nostalgia in Jakarta
As the fixture is a source of nostalgia for fans, particularly in Indonesia, the legends match will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Jakarta on Saturday.
Giggs scored a wonder goal for United in their FA Cup semi-final replay win over Arsenal at Villa Park en route to the historic 1999 treble, with Ferdinand, Silvestre and Brown also involved in those early Arsenal battles.
