LASK goalkeeper Lukas Jungwirth has admitted his side have plenty to sort out ahead of their Champions League showdown with Celtic, despite making it two wins on the spin in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The Austrian champions secured a 2-0 victory over Austria Wien on Sunday, a perfect start to their title defence. However, Jungwirth was quick to highlight areas of concern, with the looming do-or-die Champions League clash against the Premiership champions in mind.
Warnings ahead of Celtic clash
While Jungwirth stopped short of naming Celtic directly, his public warning over improvement was clearly aimed at the Scottish champions. LASK are preparing to face a revamped £24m frontline in Kasper Hogh, Camilo Duran, and Haissem Hassan, assuming add-ons are met for the Egyptian winger.
Speaking after Sunday's win, Jungwirth said: "Around the time of the offside goal, we relied too much on possession and weren't mentally prepared for Austria's counter-attacks. We also need to be more clinical at the end; we might be punished for that against other opponents."
Winning start but room to grow
Despite the concerns, the keeper is not too despondent with LASK's winning start, which follows their title triumph over Sturm Graz last season. He added: "I think if you go home with a 2-0 win as the favourites, you can definitely be satisfied."
