Jules Neale has appeared to confirm the breakdown of her marriage to AFL star Lachie Neale in a candid social media post. Taking to Instagram Stories on Friday, the 32-year-old told followers she had been 'betrayed in the most unimaginable way' and was focusing on healing for the sake of her children.
'I want to make it very clear that I am not "working through" anything,' she wrote. 'I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is try to heal and do what's best for my children. Thank you for the love and support.'
The post came hours after reports suggested the couple, who have two children together, were 'working through issues'. Jules has since unfollowed Lachie on Instagram, though he continues to follow her account.
The couple married in November 2018 and moved to Brisbane after Lachie was traded from Fremantle to the Lions. According to a source close to the family, the split is a 'private matter', and Jules may have returned to her hometown of Perth.
Earlier this week, Jules shared photos celebrating their son Freddie's first birthday without tagging or mentioning Lachie. The last time the pair appeared together on social media was a holiday post from November 10.
