Karl Darlow has joined Manchester United on a free transfer, and the 35-year-old goalkeeper celebrated the move at Old Trafford alongside his wife Lucy and their two sons.
Darlow's move to United
Darlow signed for United in July after leaving Leeds at the end of his contract. The former Newcastle and Nottingham Forest stopper has played 74 times in the Premier League and became Wales' No.1 in 2024.
He is expected to be United's No.2 this season, behind Senne Lammens, and will compete with fellow veteran stopper Tom Heaton. His arrival follows the departure of Radek Vitek to Middlesbrough in a £14million move that included a buy-back clause and a sell-on clause.
Family celebration
Darlow was joined by his wife Lucy, who works in recruiting, and their two sons, both wearing United goalkeeping kits. The couple have been together for several years and have been seen together during his time at Newcastle and at awards ceremonies.
Lucy keeps a low social media profile, with her Instagram account private. Darlow's own Instagram features action shots and clips from his on-pitch performances, though both have shared holiday snaps in the past.
