Bruno Guimaraes is reportedly travelling to Spain to link up with Newcastle United's pre-season squad, as speculation over a move to Arsenal continues to grow.
Chronicle Live reported that Guimaraes is on his way to the club's training base in La Manga, having agreed with Newcastle to leave Brazil on Sunday and fly out to rejoin his team-mates.
Guimaraes complies with Newcastle requests
The report from Chronicle Live's Lee Ryder said Guimaraes has complied with all the requests made of him by Newcastle. The 28-year-old is expected to report back for pre-season with the Magpies within the next 24 hours.
Guimaraes had been on his summer break after featuring for Brazil at the World Cup in North America, where he helped his country reach the last-16.
Arsenal transfer links intensify
The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, with recent reports suggesting a transfer is becoming increasingly likely. A fee of £77 million has been mentioned for the midfielder, who has a contract at St James' Park until the summer of 2028.
There were even reports that Arsenal had already put a day in the calendar this week for Guimaraes to undergo a medical at the Emirates Stadium.
