England continue their 2026/27 Nations League campaign in Rijeka this evening, facing Croatia at the Stadion HNK Rijeka. Kick-off is at 5pm BST, with the game scheduled to be played behind closed doors as part of a UEFA ban handed to Croatia following sanctions dating back to March 2025 and incidents involving fans around matches against France in the quarter-finals of the Nations League.
Team news and context
Thomas Tuchel's side travel to Croatia hoping to build on Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Czech Republic, aiming to show there will be no lasting hangover from finishing third at the World Cup earlier in the summer. The Three Lions should be in good spirits at the stadium, which could be almost full despite the ban.
Today marks a second homecoming for Slaven Bilic, who replaced Zlatko Dalic as Croatia head coach in the summer. He will be keen for an immediate response from his side after their 4-1 loss to reigning world champions Spain in midweek.
How to watch and follow
In the UK, the match is being televised live and free to air on ITV, with coverage beginning at 4.15pm BST on ITV1. The game can also be streamed live online through the ITVX website and app, which is free with registration.
