Paris Saint-Germain secured their place in the Champions League final with a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, advancing 6-5 on aggregate. Ousmane Dembélé's early goal proved decisive, despite a late strike from Harry Kane, as PSG set up a final meeting with Arsenal.
Dembélé fired PSG ahead in the third minute after a brilliant run from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, effectively ending the tie as a contest. Bayern pushed for an equaliser but lacked their usual sharpness, with Jamal Musiala missing the best chance of the first half. Kane's stunning left-footed effort in added time came too late to spark a comeback.
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany expressed frustration with officiating decisions across both legs, particularly a penalty given against Alphonso Davies in the first leg and a potential second yellow card for Nuno Mendes that was not issued. 'It's a game of details,' he said. 'If you look at both penalties, it's ridiculous. A little bit of common sense... it's a one-goal game in the end.'
PSG coach Luis Enrique praised his team's discipline and work ethic, noting they 'played with the authority of champions'. Kvaratskhelia was outstanding, creating the opening goal and troubling Bayern's defence throughout. PSG will now face Arsenal in the final on 30 May, having beaten them 3-1 on aggregate in last season's semi-final.
Bayern's players were visibly devastated at full-time, having scored 175 goals this season but falling just short. Kompany acknowledged the difficulty of winning the Champions League, saying: 'Bayern Munich are a great club, and even then they win it on average once every 10 years. That's how difficult it is.'
