Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne suffered a horrific head injury during a training session, according to reports. The French international, who joined the club from Everton earlier this month, was involved in a collision that left him requiring medical attention.
The extent of the injury is not yet known, but it is believed Digne was taken to hospital for further assessment. Villa boss Steven Gerrard will be hoping the injury is not serious, as Digne has quickly become a key player since his arrival.
