Arsenal weigh up £85m Kenan Yildiz move as Alvarez stance clear

Arsenal are reportedly contemplating a move for Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, according to The Times. The Gunners have been tracking the 21-year-old Turkey international since last season and made an initial approach earlier this summer.

Juventus are said to be reluctant to part with Yildiz, whose contract runs until 2030. The Metro reports that the Italian club sought around £85m for the player when Arsenal and other Premier League clubs expressed interest 12 months ago.

Yildiz's rise at Juventus

Yildiz joined Juventus from Bayern Munich's academy in 2022. He scored 11 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions last season.

The potential move comes after Arsenal failed to secure a deal for Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior, who recently committed to a new six-year contract with the Spanish club.

Simeone's stance on Alvarez

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has reiterated the club's position regarding Julian Alvarez's future. The Argentina international has been linked with a blockbuster move to Arsenal throughout the summer.

Alvarez has previously expressed a desire to leave Atletico, with Barcelona reportedly his preferred destination. However, Simeone stressed that the situation remains unchanged and Atletico have no intention of selling.

"The situation is very clear, the club made a decision that Miguel Angel Gil Marin [Atletico's CEO] explained very well," Simeone said. "We are very happy with Julian, from a sporting perspective, we're very happy to have a player like Julian, and we'll help him continue to grow and improve."
