According to The Sun, Arsenal scouts were present at Inter's pre-season derby against AC Milan to monitor the 21-year-old. Esposito, who stands at 6ft 3in, has impressed manager Mikel Arteta in recent months.
The Gunners already have Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz in their striking department, but Arteta is keen to add more firepower. Manchester United are also interested in Esposito, though they are not planning to rush an offer.
Inter have publicly stated that Esposito is "untouchable" to ward off interest, but it is reported they have set a £73m price tag in private. Sources close to the player suggest he is committed to Inter but is open to a move to England, with the allure of the Premier League on his mind.
Villa Bracing for Konsa Exit
Aston Villa are reportedly 'resigned to losing' defender Ezri Konsa as Arsenal step up their pursuit. Arteta is looking for defensive cover after injuries to William Saliba, Ben White, and Jurrien Timber.
The 28-year-old is a primary target for the Gunners, whose initial bid was just over half of Villa's £60m valuation. The Mail reports that Villa are growing "increasingly concerned" that Konsa could leave this summer.
