Australian cricket star Megan Schutt has confirmed her separation from wife Jess Holyoake, but has expressed a commitment to co-parenting their daughter Rylee. The couple, who married in 2019, have decided to end their relationship after 10 years together.
Schutt, 32, took to Instagram to announce the split, stating that she and Holyoake have decided to end their relationship following an action-packed decade. Despite the heartbreak, Schutt pledged to maintain a happy and healthy relationship with Holyoake, just not a romantic one.
Schutt is a decorated cricketer, having made her debut for Australia in 2012. She is the leading wicket-taker in women's T20Is and has taken the most wickets in T20 World Cups. Known affectionately as 'Shooter', she is a medium-pace bowler who attacks the stumps.
Off the field, Schutt has been a vocal advocate for gay rights and has often spoken out against online hate. She has previously shared her experiences with homophobia and her determination to challenge misconceptions about sexuality.
