There were emotional scenes at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday as beloved entertainer Kevin Johns made his first public appearance in front of the Jack Army since suffering a stroke.
Johns, a beloved figure at Swansea City, looked visibly emotional as he received a wonderful reception from the home crowd ahead of the Championship clash with Sheffield United.
Recovery and tribute
The 65-year-old suffered a stroke back in February and has received an outpouring of well wishes over the last few weeks as he continues his recovery.
A video tribute to Johns from fellow Swans hero Lee Trundle was played ahead of kick-off, before Johns was handed the microphone.
He then delivered his trademark pre-match rallying cry of 'Are you ready, Swansea City fans?' much to the delight of the near 20,000 fans in attendance.
Tributes to Swans heroes
Johns then led pre-match tributes to Swans heroes Jimmy Rimmer, Kenny Jackett and Herbie Williams ahead of kick-off.
Singer Bonnie Tyler and Swans supporter Matthew Collins, who sadly died aged 38 less than three years after being diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour, were also honoured.
All five were then given an emotional minute's applause.
Progress in rehabilitation
Johns has been steadily updating fans with his progress in rehabilitation.
Three weeks ago he posted an entry on Instagram, with the caption: "It's important after having a stroke to work hard every day to get fit again and recover. This wasn't easy but I was determined."
