Donald Trump has shared video footage online of a British man being attacked by a tiger moments before he died. The US president posted the clip to his 13 million Truth Social followers with the signed message: "Don’t ever mess with nature!"
The footage showed the animal biting and clawing the victim as he sat in the enclosure, but did not show him being killed.
Second post with lion montage
Mr Trump followed this up a short time later with a separate post featuring a video montage that appeared to show a series of other people being mauled by lions, accompanied by an upbeat soundtrack.
The incident took place at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster, where a man named in reports as William Chapman was killed after entering the tiger enclosure on Saturday.
Investigation launched
A health and safety investigation has been launched into the incident. The park will remain closed on Wednesday for a fifth day following the attack.
Emergency services were contacted shortly after 1.30pm on October 10 when Mr Chapman, who police said was visiting the park alone, entered the enclosure. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
