Exclusive CCTV footage has captured the moment a food delivery driver for a major platform brazenly relieved himself against a family's property immediately after dropping off their order. The event unfolded on a quiet residential street in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Homeowner Benjiro Gomes, 36, had ordered a pizza for his family via Deliveroo. Shortly after the delivery, Mr Gomes reviewed his doorbell camera footage and was met with an appalling sight.
The Brazen Act Captured on Camera
The clear footage shows the delivery driver, dressed in the recognisable Deliveroo uniform and holding an insulated delivery bag, walking away from the front door. Instead of returning to his moped, he nonchalantly strolls onto the front garden and proceeds to urinate against the wall for several seconds in full view of the street.
"I was absolutely disgusted," Mr Gomes told reporters. "To think someone delivering food would then do that on our property is beyond belief. It's a complete violation and a total lack of respect."
Company Response and Police Involvement
Upon discovering the footage, Mr Gomes immediately contacted Deliveroo and filed a formal report with the police. A spokesperson for Deliveroo issued a statement: "We have been in contact with the customer to apologise and are urgently investigating. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the standards we expect from those working with us. The rider has been immediately removed from our platform."
