King Charles Stays Near Andrew Amid Police Probe on Bank Holiday
King Charles Visits Sandringham Near Andrew Amid Probe

King Charles III has chosen to spend his Bank Holiday weekend in close proximity to his disgraced younger brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, just two days after police issued a fresh update regarding their ongoing investigation.

The 77-year-old monarch was photographed in the back seat of his electric Lotus Eletre as he was driven into Wood Farm in Wolferton on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk at lunchtime on Sunday. Wood Farm sits adjacent to Marsh Farm, a five-bedroom property where Andrew has been residing since last month.

This development follows a statement from Thames Valley Police on Friday, in which they confirmed they would examine allegations of sexual misconduct as part of their inquiry into potential misconduct in public office.

Andrew's Low Profile

Andrew has maintained a low profile since the release of the Epstein Files late last year. He was seen driving his Land Rover on the Sandringham estate on Saturday, marking his first public sighting since Friday's significant announcement.

It remains unclear whether the King will meet with Andrew during his stay at Wood Farm. Queen Camilla has not yet been seen at the estate today.

Police Investigation Details

Thames Valley Police Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright stated on Friday: "Our misconduct in public office investigation is continuing. Misconduct in public office is a crime that can take different forms, making this a complex investigation."

He added: "Our team of very experienced detectives are working meticulously through a significant amount of information that has come in from the public and other sources. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation into all reasonable lines of enquiry, wherever they may lead."

The force also expressed a desire to speak with a woman who was allegedly flown to the UK by paedophile Jeffrey Epstein for the purpose of having sex with Andrew. The allegations suggest that a woman was taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes.

Police have reached out to her legal team, stating: "Should she wish to report this to police, it will be taken seriously and handled with care, sensitivity and respect for her privacy and her right for anonymity." Andrew has consistently denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

Arrest and Investigation

Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on February 19, his 66th birthday. He was interviewed under caution before being released under investigation. Searches were also conducted at his former homes in Windsor and Norfolk.

The former prince served as the UK's special representative for international trade and investment from 2001 until 2011, when he stepped down amid controversy surrounding his friendship with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
