Janette Manrara has shared an emotional goodbye with fans after the BBC axed five professional dancers from Strictly Come Dancing, sparking speculation that she is leaving her role as host of spin-off show It Takes Two.
The 41-year-old dancer, who has co-hosted It Takes Two for five years, took to social media to express her feelings following the final show of the tour. She wrote: 'Last day of the tour and feeling so many emotions. I have loved every moment on stage with our cast and band.'
Manrara, who is married to fellow Strictly professional Aljaž Škorjanec, described the occasion as an 'end of an era' as she and her husband performed together for the last time on stage. She added: 'It's never “goodbye”, but instead “until the next time”.'
Aljaž, who has been confirmed to return for the upcoming series, shared a throwback photo from 2013 and wrote: 'Little did I know then how being a part of @bbcstrictly would change my life for the better FOREVER. Back for my 12th season! Bring it on!!'
Meanwhile, long-time professional Gorka Marquez has decided to leave the show after 10 years, a decision he said was a joint family call. His partner Gemma Atkinson clarified on their podcast: 'It wasn't my decision... 10 years is a good round number.'
The other dancers not returning are Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas, following the departure of main show hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.
