The ongoing release of documents related to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein has cast fresh scrutiny on Sarah Ferguson's connections, with newly revealed emails suggesting deeper involvement than previously acknowledged and dragging Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie back into the controversy.
Daughters Dragged Into Epstein Meetings
Among the latest tranche of Epstein files are communications that appear to show Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, continued her association with the disgraced financier even after his 2008 conviction for prostituting minors. Most troublingly, these exchanges repeatedly reference her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie in connection with Epstein.
One email from August 2009, sent by someone identified only as "Sarah" with a redacted email address, thanks Epstein for what she describes as "your compliment to me infront of my girls." This suggests a meeting occurred involving both princesses shortly after Epstein's release from prison that summer, when Beatrice would have been 20 and Eugenie 19.
Vulgar Reference to Youngest Daughter
Perhaps the most shocking revelation comes from a March 2010 exchange where Epstein asks about a potential New York trip. The response from "Sarah" includes a crude reference to her youngest daughter, stating: "Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a sh*****g weekend." This email was sent around the time of Eugenie's 20th birthday, which she spent with then-boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, now her husband.
Further correspondence indicates Epstein inquired in 2010 whether there was "any chance of your daughters saying hello" to an unnamed person in London. Sarah's reply noted: "Beatrice is in London with her father. Eugie is away with a cool boyfriend."
Lunch Plans and Financial Requests
The documents reveal detailed planning for a July 2009 lunch meeting in Miami. In one exchange, "Sarah" writes: "I am aiming to get to you for 12:30 for lunch. Does that suit?" She confirms the attendance will include "myself, Beatrice and Eugenie," mentioning they were staying at "Phillip Levine house with the girls."
Financial aspects of the relationship also emerge from the files. In 2009, following a business venture collapse, Sarah appears to urgently request £20,000 from Epstein for rent, warning that "the landlord has threatened to go to the newspapers if I don't pay." Account transactions further show Epstein transferred $150,000 to Ferguson following a share sale.
Contradictory Public Statements
These revelations directly contradict Sarah Ferguson's public statements. In March 2011, she gave an interview apologising for her ties to Epstein and claiming she would have "nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again." Yet the leaked emails show Epstein telling his lawyers that Sarah "should affirmatively state that she was misquoted" regarding these claims.
One email from Epstein to his lawyer Paul Tweed in 2011 states: "[Sarah] took apartments in New York. She was the first to celebrate my release with her two daughters in tow. She visited me with [a] policeman sitting at my front desk. She has asked for help with her charities." A source close to Sarah previously insisted neither she nor her daughters recalled such a visit.
Daughters' Reactions and Family Fallout
Sources close to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice reveal they are "aghast" and "mortified" by their mother's emails to Epstein. "They are aghast at what they have read," a source told the Daily Mail. "They are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein. It is so embarrassing for them."
The scandal has created significant family divisions. Princess Eugenie, who established The Anti-Slavery Collective to combat sex trafficking, has reportedly completely cut ties with her father Prince Andrew and is said to be angered by his refusal to apologise to Epstein's victims.
Princess Beatrice faces a more complex situation, attempting to balance maintaining contact with her parents while remaining close to the wider royal family. Recently, she reportedly rescinded an invitation for Sarah to live in the granny flat at her Cotswolds home. "Beatrice knows for the sake of her kids her future lies with the royals," an insider revealed.
Uncertain Future for Ferguson and Andrew
With the deadline for their eviction from Royal Lodge approaching, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew face an uncertain future. Both have been ostracised by the royal family, and Sarah recently told friends that the withdrawal of titles and royal accommodation was "not good for my mental health," adding: "They are out for blood in every way."
A source close to the former Duchess told MailOnline: "She's on a knife edge and bursting out crying several times a day. She's really not sure what the future holds." Ferguson has maintained an extremely low profile in recent months as these revelations continue to emerge.
The latest document release confirms that all exchanges from "Sarah" are dated after Epstein's 2008 conviction, though the emails themselves do not indicate any criminal wrongdoing. The Mirror has approached Sarah Ferguson for comment regarding these latest revelations.
