KSI Firmly Rejects Luke Littler's Sidemen Charity Match Request
Darts sensation Luke Littler has seen his public bid to participate in the Sidemen Charity Match unequivocally rejected by YouTube star KSI. The reigning world champion, aged 19, expressed his interest in playing in the event, but KSI has made it clear that only content creators are allowed to take part.
Sold-Out Wembley Event Approaches
The annual Sidemen Charity Match is scheduled for April 18th, 2026, at a sold-out Wembley Stadium. Last year's edition featured all seven Sidemen members against the YouTube Allstars, with personalities like AngryGinge, IShowSpeed, Logan Paul, and Mr Beast participating. This year's line-up remains unconfirmed, but Littler's hopes have been definitively quashed.
In early February, Littler reposted an Instagram announcement by the Sidemen, who revealed to their 6.2 million followers that tickets sold out within hours. Tagging the group, he wrote: "Get me in the team Sidemen," sparking excitement among fans at the prospect of the Manchester United supporter trying his luck at football.
KSI's Definitive Response on Capital FM
During an appearance on Capital FM this week, KSI was asked if he had responded to Littler's request. The 32-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge simply replied: "I have not responded, and he's not in." He clarified that the refusal is due to a strict rule the Sidemen have always adhered to for the charity game.
KSI elaborated: "It sounds so bad, but we only have content creators on the Sidemen Charity Match. So we haven't ever had a celebrity come on to play. That's more for like Soccer Aid. You never know, maybe one day we'll have Soccer Aid versus Sidemen."
No Exceptions, Even for Global Stars
Insisting that snubbing Littler was not personal, KSI conceded that even the most famous celebrities in the world could request to participate and the response would still be a firm no. He added: "I think for us we're focusing more on just content creators. That's how it's always been, and even if Justin Bieber wanted to play, we'd go, 'No! Content creators only!'"
The match is set to commence at 3pm and will be broadcast live on the Sidemen's YouTube channel. It will generate funds for charities Bright Side and M7 Education, the latter established by Sidemen member Simon 'Miniminter' Minter and his brother Nick.
