Channel 9 sports presenter Danika Mason has called off her wedding to long-time partner Todd Liubinskas just three weeks before the planned ceremony. The couple, who became engaged in 2021, had been together for over three years.
According to the Daily Telegraph, several high-profile media personalities had accepted invitations to the wedding but were informed last week that it would not go ahead. Friends of Mason have described her as 'beyond devastated' and 'completely heartbroken'.
Despite the personal turmoil, Mason continued her professional duties, including hosting Channel 9's NRL grand final qualifiers over the weekend. The couple were last seen together in public at a car launch event in Alexandria two weeks before the cancellation was announced.
Social media activity showed the pair together as recently as just over a week ago, when Mason threw a surprise 40th birthday party for Liubinskas. He posted on social media: '40 feels good! Thanks for the love! An epic surprise.'
Liubinskas works as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. Mason joined Channel 9 as an intern in 2012 and now hosts The Sunday Footy Show and works as a sideline reporter for NRL matches.
