Ted Cruz Tells MAGA Influencer 'Hush, Child' in Iran Deal Spat

Senator Ted Cruz has clashed with a young MAGA influencer over President Donald Trump's potential Iran deal, telling him to 'hush, child' in a heated exchange on social media.

The Texas Republican responded to Alex Bruesewitz, a 29-year-old influencer and former Trump campaign advisor, after Bruesewitz told Cruz to stop undermining the president. Cruz had earlier expressed 'deeply concerned' about the not-yet-finalised deal, warning it could give billions to Iran and allow it to develop nuclear weapons.

Cruz wrote on X: 'Hush child. The adults are talking. I'm not your "bro." And young political grifters pushing Iran appeasement are not remotely helping the President.'

Separately, on his podcast, Cruz described a fiery closed-door meeting where Republican senators blasted acting Attorney General Todd Blanche over a proposed $1.8 billion 'anti-weaponisation' fund. Cruz said at least half of the 45 senators were angry, with some accusing Trump of 'self-dealing' and threatening to join Democrats in opposing the fund.
