The two people who died in a tandem skydiving incident near Dunkeswell aerodrome in Devon on Friday have been identified as Adam Harrison, 30, from Bournemouth, and Belinda Taylor, 48, from Totnes. Mr Harrison was a tandem skydiving instructor. Both were confirmed dead at the scene.
Devon and Cornwall Police named them on Monday after an earlier family tribute to Ms Taylor. One of her sons, Connor Bowles, described her as a 'selfless woman' who wanted the best for others. Another son, Elias Baaklini, said she had taken part in the jump to experience something new and called the incident 'unlucky'.
Ms Taylor's partner, Scott Armstrong, wrote on social media that he wanted answers, saying 'they took my world away'. Her ex-husband, Bachir Baaklini, said the family wanted 'justice' and needed to find out what caused the tragedy so that no one else dies in the same way.
The company involved, Skydive Buzz, said it was heartbroken and expressed condolences, adding that it was fully cooperating with the investigation. Robert Gibson, chief executive of British Skydiving, said a board of inquiry would investigate and a report would be submitted to the coroner, police, and other authorities.
