Savannah Guthrie has made an emotional new appeal for information about her mother's disappearance, nearly six months after the 84-year-old vanished from her home in Arizona.
Nancy Guthrie went missing from her Tucson-area residence on the night of January 31. The FBI later released doorbell camera footage showing a masked individual at her front door in the early hours of February 1.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Savannah Guthrie said her family was in agony and living through a nightmare that would not end. She said: "We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts." She added: "I'm asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her."
The plea comes after reports in June that one of two credible notes sent to media outlets in February indicated that Nancy Guthrie had died. The notes were reportedly sent to TMZ and KOLD-TV, a Tucson station. Savannah Guthrie also appealed to viewers on the Today show, saying: "We love our mom, and we'll never stop looking for her, ever."
A reward of $1 million has been offered for information leading to Nancy Guthrie's return. Anyone with knowledge of the case is urged to contact the FBI on 1-800-CALL-FBI.
