Trump Secures Unprecedented 100% Approval from MAGA Base in Latest Poll
President Donald Trump has achieved a remarkable political milestone, receiving unanimous backing from MAGA voters in a new survey. The stunning result left CNN data analyst Harry Enten visibly astonished during a recent broadcast segment.
On Wednesday morning, Enten examined the president's support base as the conflict in Iran entered its third week, with tensions escalating across the Middle East and raising concerns about potential global economic consequences.
'Numbers That Jump Off the Screen'
"Sometimes you look at polling data and there are numbers that just jump off the screen at you, and this is one of those," Enten declared on CNN's News Central program.
He specifically referenced findings from a recent NBC News survey that revealed 100 percent of self-identified MAGA voters support the Republican president, with zero percent expressing disapproval.
"You don't have to be a mathematical genius to know you can't go higher than one hundred percent," Enten remarked, drawing an unusual comparison between Trump and "the 1972 Miami Dolphins," the NFL team that achieved a perfect season culminating in Super Bowl victory that year.
MAGA Movement Shows Growth and Unity
Enten clarified that while some Republicans disapprove of Trump, "they are not members of the Make America Great Again movement." He emphasized the fundamental conclusion: "If you are a member of MAGA, you approve of Donald Trump."
CNN anchor Sara Sidner highlighted the apparent contradiction between Trump's current military campaign in Iran and his previous campaign promises to end foreign conflicts and position himself as "the candidate of peace." She noted that several prominent conservative voices have criticized the 79-year-old president's approach to the Middle Eastern conflict.
Among those expressing opposition are podcast host Tucker Carlson, who described Trump's military actions as "absolutely disgusting and evil," along with media personality Megyn Kelly and former Georgia GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Movement Expands Despite Criticism
When Sidner questioned whether there were signs of MAGA supporters departing the movement compared to 2024 levels, Enten pointed to contrary evidence. The poll indicated that 30 percent of Americans now identify as MAGA supporters, representing an increase from 28 percent in November 2024.
"The theme of this segment is Tucker Carlson be darned," Enten quipped, adding that "that 100% that Donald Trump has among MAGA GOP is not an artifact of MAGA shrinking. It's just an indication of how strong Donald Trump's grip is on that MAGA base."
Further analysis revealed that 90 percent of MAGA voters approve of Trump's military strikes against Iran, with only 5 percent expressing disapproval.
Broader Public Opinion Contrasts Sharply
Despite Trump's ironclad support within his core constituency, the wider American public demonstrates significantly less enthusiasm for his presidency. According to a Quinnipiac University survey released on March 9, 57 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump's overall performance, with an identical percentage disapproving of his handling of "the situation in Iran."
This stark contrast between unwavering MAGA loyalty and broader public skepticism highlights the polarized nature of contemporary American politics, with Trump maintaining unprecedented cohesion within his political movement even as he faces substantial criticism beyond it.
