Country star Riley Green was spotted at HEYDUDE's new Austin, Texas store on Friday, sporting a laid-back style with a Hank Williams T-shirt, worn-in blue jeans, and gray sneakers.
New Role on The Voice
The 37-year-old crooner from Alabama, currently on tour in the US, was just hired this week for the fall season of The Voice. The 6ft 4in performer will serve as a coach alongside Queen Latifah, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Levine on season 30 of the hit singing show.
'I guess y'all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall,' Green wrote on Instagram. The Voice will return in September on NBC.
Kelly Clarkson's Welcome
Riley included a clip of him getting a call from fellow judge Kelly Clarkson. 'Riley Green! This is Kelly Clarkson, that is officially the last time we're going to use each other's full names … But we have never officially met, so I'm super stoked to coach alongside you. Welcome to The Voice!' she said.
'I was stoked when I heard you were going to be a coach because I'm actually a super-fan of your music, you're so good. You probably know that because I've covered your songs,' Clarkson added.
The talk show host continued: 'Anyway, big fan! But needless to say, fan and all, it's a competition. Needless to say, I think you're gonna need to practice because Team Kelly is gonna whoop that [expletive].'
Background and Career
Green previously performed on The Voice with Ella Langley in season 26 and again by himself two seasons later. Adam Levine will also be returning for the new season.
Green is a country music singer and songwriter, signed to Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment since 2019. He has released three albums: Different 'Round Here in 2019, Ain't My Last Rodeo in 2023, and Don't Mind If I Do in 2024.
The musician has also worked as an actor. He appeared in an episode of the Yellowstone spinoff Marshals with Luke Grimes, who is a close friend of his.
