Online travel agent loveholidays has pledged not to pass on any airline fuel surcharges to customers who have booked summer holidays. The company, which is the UK's third-largest package holiday provider, said it would shield customers from retrospective surcharges applied by any of its 140 global airline partners.
The policy applies to flights departing up to 30 September 2026, ensuring that the price paid at the time of booking remains unchanged. Loveholidays had previously committed to never applying its own surcharges, but the updated guarantee now covers surcharges from airlines as well.
Donat Rétif, Chief Executive Officer at loveholidays, said: “We know how important price certainty is for consumers right now. Our no-surcharge commitment offers reassurance that the amount our customers pay for their holidays at the time of booking will not change.”
Rétif added that package holidays offer built-in protection not available when booking flights and hotels separately, and that last-minute deals are still available for this summer. Loveholidays also offers a Best Price Promise, which guarantees to beat any identical holiday offer by at least £10, refunding the difference plus an extra £5 per person.
All loveholidays packages are protected under the ATOL scheme and the company's own secure trust account.
