Sir Keir Starmer has confirmed that British military aircraft are currently active in a coordinated defensive operation against Iran, despite the UK not participating in the initial strikes on Saturday morning.
The Prime Minister described the Iranian regime as “abhorrent” and stressed that it must never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.
“Our forces are active and British planes are in the sky today as part of regional coordinated defensive operations to protect our people, our interests and our allies,” Starmer said, signalling support for US allies.
